5 Ways to Nurture Your UNIQUENESS in Your Brand

When we think about having a strong personal brand, it's not enough to just create it but you want to continually nurture it to keep the unique 'brand equity and goodwill' going consistently. Sometimes though, the clutter of the online space and others’ voices become loud and you keep scrolling to see what others are doing and start feeling overwhelmed or a little disconnected with yours. This is when you need to go back to your UNIQUENESS.

The same goes with branding for your business. There is no one way to do business or to connect to your brand but here are 5 things you can do to reconnect to your own unique brand, business and mission on those days where you want to nurture the uniqueness :

  1. TRUST YOUR CREATIVITY Be curious, trust it and use it! Allow yourself to be bold and brave with it. For example, if you have an idea for a post that you know will help with your brand and start drafting it to share with your audience but then you start hesitating or keep saving it in draft waiting for it to hit the perfection 10/10 mark in your mind before posting it. Shrinking into the tamer version of what’s on trend or what you should be creating or posting will not help you to connect to your unique self and brand. Test it out, be curious and bold with your creativity. Ask all your questions, create it, check then post, and let your unique voice come through. Let it succeed or fail, either way it's great to test it out and confirm what your audience wants to see from you.

  2. CREATE WHITE SPACE for your mind. Do you have a day or big blocks of time in your week for your mind? It is in these hours that strategic planning, creative content creation and the big picture items come to life for nurturing your unique brand. It's these hours with a relaxed mind, not thinking about the 'to do' list or trying to multitask where your uniqueness can be created and come to life. When you schedule white space in your week every week it will be a game changer.

  3. CHANGE YOUR ENVIRONMENT I find that a change in environment will really help you create and inspire you to think about what really energises you and makes you and your brand unique as different environments will hold a certain energy for you.

  4. STOP SCROLLING There has been so much research on how social media impacts our cognitive proccesses. Scrolling and consuming others' content as well processing all the data over a long period of time will add to the clutter your brain feels and makes it harder for you think your own thoughts. Being offline for a day or two will help you to reconnect to your own thoughts and create from that space.

  5. FOCUS ON YOUR WELLBEING There is no amazing business or role when you are not well, physically and mentally. I always challenge my clients to think of ways in their days to bring well-being into the picture. This means stopping to rest, to connect to your breath with deep breathing and to your body with movement. I promise you these little well-being moments will bring so much energy, vitality and clarity to your unique mission and business.

Is there one which resonates with you the most? Let me know which one you will try this week and if you would like support with your personal branding as we head into the last quarter of 2022, let me know here as I have a couple of ways you can work with me including a "Brand Me Now" Hour of Power.
