Hi Everyone,
Something I love to do as the year comes to a close and a new year appears is to reflect and plan. Before we plan for the year ahead, let’s reflect on 2023.
Reflection is often underutilised as a tool. Reflection allows you to gain perspective and insight, get curious, as well as clarify your thoughts. Self-reflection is a critical tool for your own personal and professional development. I have put together a “list of threes” questions for you to reflect on (see attached PDF).
So, grab your favourite pen and jot down some answers. Find some uninterrupted focus time and be open, and honest. There is no set length to any one question, write as much as you need to or feel like. Once done, we will take a pause and I will be back to give you Part 2 to dream and plan for the new year ahead.
Before I sign off, did you have a word you picked for 2023? If you did, here are 3 more questions for you to reflect on. Mine was “ease”.
1. How did this word play out for me this year?
2. What challenges came from having this word?
3. What incredible things came from having this word?
If you didn't have a word for the year, that's okay. What would you name as your word for the year and you can ask yourself the same questions. Stay tuned this week for Part 2 where I will share how we can plan for the year ahead and build your GPS. We will also pick a new word for 2024!
Happy reflecting!
